Abbey Harvard has had the immense privilege of calling Auburn home for over a decade. From an early age, Abbey desired to never stop learning, though her sights shifted from education to medicine. She earned a Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy at Auburn University, where she led service and outreach efforts for marginalized members of the local community as well as educational experiences for future University students.
Abbey went on to pursue an additional doctorate focused in academic research and behavioral theory, where her goal was to teach in higher education. There, she gained even more experience in recruitment and admissions, curriculum development and assessment, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. While in a role as Teaching Assistant for doctoral students, Abbey felt the Lord leading her away from higher education and into a role equally as challenging and fulfilling– motherhood.
Abbey is married to her high school sweetheart, Walker, and they have four beautiful children– Whit, Hud, Jack, and Mary Camden. She understands the culture of ACC deeply, as she's been a part of it since 2016. She has come to cherish the families that call this church 'home' as she's served on staff as the Elementary Coordinator for ACC Kids.
When she's not in a classroom during the week or leading Shine Nights, you can find Abbey in the kitchen, the garden, or scheming up a science lesson for the neighborhood kids. Abbey is humbled to have the opportunity to support ACC Academy as it continues to grow roots, provide educational opportunities to more kids in the community, and establish a love of learning in all students.
