Anna Kate has worked as a fitness trainer for 5 years in a one-on-one and a group fitness context. She has trained a wide variety of ages and skill levels with a passion to help them take steps on a journey to achieve good stewardship of the bodies that God has given them. She is stepping into her third year as the PE teacher at ACC Academy. She is passionate about shepherding the next generation through incorporating the Word of God and the leadership of the Holy Spirit into their lives through the specific avenue of fitness and sports. She believes that there is endless potential for the gospel to penetrate this area of education and for children to learn the truth about their personal identity that Christ has purchased for them. Anna Kate will stop at nothing to ensure that this is what is being accomplished through the physical education program at ACC Academy. Pioneering this program at ACC Academy is an extremely humbling, yet exciting opportunity in Anna Kate’s perspective. She is also passionate about her personal fitness, and she is constantly learning what the Bible teaches about how we are to steward our bodies. In this, she hopes to lead by example for the students who are a part of her P.E. classes.

Not only is she passionate about physical education, but through her years at ACC Academy, Anna Kate has caught a vision for how the school can be involved in the story that God is writing in the Church, the city, and the world. She believes that getting the students involved in local outreach and global missions will be a pivotal point in their spiritual formation.

Anna Kate grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, but she moved to Auburn for college. She graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. Her minor was in Sports Coaching. During her first year at ACC Academy, she also finished her Master’s in Public Administration/Nonprofit Management. Besides fitness, Anna Kate loves to spend her time outside with her golden retriever, Remy, and with friends and family. She loves the water: swimming, boating, wakeboarding, and all that comes with it!

However, above all of this, Anna Kate longs to know Jesus and to be known by Him. This, she believes, is the hingepoint to the success of anything that she will ever do. She believes that her personal connection to Jesus is the sole determinant of the impact that she will have on the students at ACC Academy.
